MonStr (from Monitoring Structural) is a structural health monitoring system that provides continuous monitoring and management of static and dynamic forces acting on the structure. The monitoring system consists of several sensors (MonStr Nodes) that are synched to one another and fitted to the structure, and an acquisition unit (MonStr PC). The ground-breaking MonStr System for structural health monitoring (SHM) reduces cost and complexity by being designed to work with normal PCs with our revolutionary software installed and common ethernet cables and switches.

Features

  • Remote access to the data

MonStr system for SHM gives you access to your data from anywhere via the web app.

  • Data provided

    Data provided through hdf5 database.

  • Customizable device set-up

Sensor parameters for each device on the network can be customized by selecting the dynamic range, sample frequency, etc. The acquisition software automatically customizes all devices.

  • Extremely low power consumption

Each MonStr draws a mere 0.6W.

  • Independently configurable

Each node's sensors and features are independently configurable.

  • Operating temperature -20 to 70 °C

MonStr sensors are rugged enough to work under tough environmental conditions.

  • IP68 certification

Certified against water and dust ingress.

  • Plug and play functionality

Connect the devices to the central data collector and automatically start monitoring. Devices can be added or removed from the network at any time, by plugging in the MonStr nodes.

Advantages

Synchronized

Unlimited channels are synchronized with each other to a fraction of a millisecond, assuring the temporal coherence between all collected data.

Distributed

The sensors are designed to be installed in any condition, thanks to the use of a single ethernet cable for both power supply and data transport.

Scalable

MonStr Nodes can be easily added to or removed from the monitoring system, making the system fully extendable and scalable.

Modular

MonStr-O Nodes sensors and features can be customized depending on the application.

Integrated System MonStr + True Vision

MonStr True Vision enables visualization of data collected by MonStr on the infrastructure, with customizable packages. The Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview by MonStr on the infrastructure.

Integrated System MonStr + STKO

Using artificial intelligence and data collected from the MonStr network, the Digital Twinning technology creates an exact finite element model of the structure. The digital replica continuously updates to reflect changes.
